We mourn the loss of our colleague

Prof. Dr. oec. Publ. Egon Leimböck

Professor of Construction Management at the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at TU Dortmund University

who passed away on January 21, 2026 at the age of 89.

As a dedicated university lecturer and long-time member of our department, Prof. Egon Leimböck left his mark on generations of engineers. Prof. Leimböck had a great influence on construction management teaching in Germany, especially in the combination of business cost accounting, project controlling and the legal framework of the construction industry. His scientific work, his collegiality and his human integrity will remain unforgotten.

We pay tribute to a highly esteemed colleague and remember him with great respect.
