Lean Construction Workshop inspires students of the Project Management III lecture

As part of the Project Management III lecture series, a workshop on lean construction was held for the second time in collaboration with Lean Project Management. After a brief introduction to the topic of lean construction, the workshop moved on to the practical part. Using the hotel simulation, the students were able to experience the differences between classic construction process planning and cycle planning in practice. In the simulation, a hotel floor was to be completed in the shortest possible time by various finishing trades, with the students being responsible for the trades. The simulation illustrated how the lean management method can be used to avoid disruptions and communication problems through better cooperation between the trades.
