TU Dortmund University mourns the loss of Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Manfred Fischer

We mourn the loss of our colleague, Professor of Steel Construction at the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at TU Dortmund University, who passed away on November 06, 2025.

As a dedicated university lecturer and long-standing member of our department, Prof. Manfred Fischer left his mark on generations of engineers. He devoted himself to steel construction with great passion for research and teaching and made significant contributions to the further development of this field in Germany over many decades. His scientific work, his collegiality and his human integrity will remain unforgotten.

We pay tribute to a highly esteemed colleague and remember him with great respect.
