DOMO Award 2024

Award ceremony for particularly team-oriented working methods at project 3.

On November 21, the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, together with Schüßler-Plan and RKW Architektur+, presented this year's Domo Award - a sign of interdisciplinary cooperation and professional excellence.

This year's prize went to two project teams from the Master's module "P3, Civil Engineering". "In addition to know-how, courage and technical excellence, the interdisciplinary exchange at eye level makes the difference. The jury consisted of Prof. Anne Hangebruch, Prof. Christian Hartz (both TU Dortmund University), Carolin Strotmann (Site Manager, Schüßler-Plan Dortmund) and Joachim Hein (Senior Partner, RKW Architektur +).

"We experience this every day in practice and it is all the more important to promote this attitude at an early stage and to bring students into a productive dialog so that they can learn from each other," emphasized Christina Zimmermann, Managing Partner of Schüßler-Plan.

The prize money amounts to 2,000 euros each and is earmarked for a specific purpose: It is intended to support students in carrying out a subject-related study trip.

We congratulate the prize winners Luiz Seitz (Architecture), Marvin Simons (Architecture) and Emilija Macianskaite (Civil Engineering) as well as Matthias Dierker (Architecture) and Marisa Sobotta (Civil Engineering)!
