Contents and skills
The focus is on the examination of constructive, design and technical contexts of buildings. Against the background of holistic, integrative design and planning principles, sustainable and energy-related aspects in particular, as well as their influence on architecture and building construction, are to be examined and further developed in terms of both design and function. The ability and understanding of the analytical examination of built architecture in connection with energy efficiency and resource-saving use of materials is a prerequisite. The development of design parameters that are important in dealing with sustainability and resource management in architecture and construction are fundamentally required when working on design and seminar tasks.
