BDB Student Award 2024 | Participation only possible until 29.02.2024!
All students of architecture and civil engineering as well as young professionals up to two years after graduation are eligible to participate. Related disciplines (e.g. environmental engineering) can participate if they make clearly recognizable and comparable contributions to the built environment.
The future of construction and construction planning will be significantly shaped by those who are still studying at Germany's universities today. Students from the fields of architecture and civil engineering must therefore be particularly supported and challenged. This is one of the central concerns of the BDB Association of German Master Builders, Architects and Engineers.
In order to do justice to this goal and to offer students their own special stage, the BDB will also be awarding the BDB Student Sponsorship Prize in 2024.
The prize is endowed with a total amount of €5,200 and can be submitted in the categories of buildings, engineering structures, constructions and urban planning. The prize is awarded to student projects that demonstrate exemplary and sustainable solutions for the development of contemporary construction and follow the interdisciplinary concept of planning and building.

This year's jury once again includes recognized experts such as civil engineer Prof. Lamia Messari-Becker (University of Siegen) and architect Frank Kasprusch (University of Kassel). BDB President Christoph, Jonathan Heid (BDB student spokesperson) and Benedikt Kraft (deputy editor-in-chief of DBZ Deutsche Bauzeitschrift) are also part of the jury. The special feature: Anna Lenz and Lisa Stadtmüller, two winners of the STFP 2023, will also be on the jury!
Entries for the sponsorship award will only be accepted online until 29.02.2024. The award ceremony will take place on June 7, 2024 as part of the BDB Dialogue at the University of Kassel.
